Advertising Flags – the Golden Child of the Outdoor Display Industry

Call them what you will: advertising flags, sail signs, feather flags or promo flags. Regardless of their nomenclature, advertising flags resemble portable billboards; except they’re cheaper, more attractive, better for marketing, and without the repulsive stigma attached to their more intrusive role models.

Outdoor sail signs begin life as PP, PVC, vinyl, canvas, satin, fiber or nylon fabrics. Depending on the required graphics, the fabric will undergo one of several types of printing processes, including solvent printing, 4-color (low v. high resolution) spot printing, silkscreening or dye sublimation (an advanced method which imprints an image onto material using ink, heat and pressure). By adulthood, sail signs will have grown into a strapping UV-resistant, anti-mildew, flame-retardant promo flags equipped with lightweight aluminum or flex-fiber poles for support, and spindles, bearings and rings for portability.

Advertising flags seize attention with vengeance. Their ease of installation, eye-catching graphic designs, cheap production costs and portability make them effective outdoor marketing tools. Need to get your brand “out there”? Or does your brand require positioning, or rejuvenation? There’s hardly a simpler method than using feather flags.

So call them what you will: good buys, effective marketing or snazzy signs. They are advertising flags – and they are worth your time.
